Check the action before its picture
Press the control in a quiet place and compare what WoW does with what the phone shows. If the game performs the wrong action, inspect its binding and modifier assignment using the ConsolePort action and modifier guide. A label refresh is not a substitute for assigning the correct action.
If the game action is right and only the phone label or picture is wrong, continue here. A displayed spell picture is presentation; it does not itself bind a spell.
Understand when the phone gets new information
The documented sync path uses a saved snapshot. After changing ConsolePort bindings, type /reload in WoW. With a matching Thumble addon and receiver setup, the receiver reads the saved snapshot and can update the phone’s character controller, spell labels and modifier layers.
This is not a continuous game-to-phone feed. A status check on the phone reads what the receiver currently knows; it does not make WoW save a newer snapshot. Do not use phone labels as a live cooldown display.
Public phone downloads are coming soon. The documented addon 0.1.2 release is for Classic Era 1.15.9. Menu names and status features vary by phone and receiver build; follow the matching release and installation instructions.
1. Save from the character and installation you intend to use
- Confirm the WoW client you launched and the character currently logged in.
- Check that ConsolePort and a matching Thumble addon are enabled for that same installation.
- Make the intended binding changes in ConsolePort, then type
/reloadin that game session. - Where your build exposes a sync timestamp, compare it with the session you just saved.
A snapshot from another character can be internally valid and still be the wrong source for the phone controller you meant to use. Avoid switching several characters or installations while diagnosing one mismatch.
2. Check what the receiver is reading
If your receiver has Automatically sync ConsolePort, check that it is enabled. If it offers Choose WoW folder…, confirm that the selected installation is the one you launched, rather than another copy of WoW.
After correcting the installation or enabling sync, return to the intended character and use /reload again. Then check the phone’s available sync status. Repeatedly refreshing status without saving new game information will not create a newer snapshot.
A receiver restart can also affect gamepad discovery. If the phone connects but WoW stops accepting input, use the controller-detection checks rather than treating it solely as a label problem.
3. Interpret the status your build provides
Phone builds with Controller settings can report the receiver’s saved character and sync status. Use the controls present in your installed version; older receivers may not report these details.
| Status | What to check |
|---|---|
| Connect your Mac | Restore the phone-to-receiver connection before expecting character information. |
| Update your Mac receiver | The receiver cannot report this sync status. That message alone does not prove game input is broken. |
| ConsolePort sync is off | Enable the receiver’s sync option, then save a fresh snapshot in WoW. |
| Another controller is active | Check the selected phone controller against the character snapshot you meant to follow. |
| Following ConsolePort | Compare the reported character and saved time, then verify labels against actions in the game. |
| Sync status unavailable | Read the displayed error. Do not assume the last character or timestamp is current. |
A manual Check sync status action, where available, reads receiver status. It does not send a save or binding command to WoW.
4. Check the active phone controller and modifiers
If the receiver has a snapshot but the phone reports another controller active, select the intended character controller or return to the built-in ConsolePort path offered by your build. Do not assume that the most recent snapshot automatically makes every saved custom controller follow that character.
Release shoulders and triggers, compare the base labels, then check each modifier separately. Compare the same combination in ConsolePort. If the action itself is incorrect, return to the binding guide instead of editing labels to hide the mismatch.
Changing a controller may require repeating the five in-game checks. Offline practice can exercise the phone surface but cannot confirm that WoW accepts the inputs.
If the labels still do not match
Record the WoW client, ConsolePort and Thumble addon versions, phone and receiver versions, intended character, selected controller, last saved time and the exact mismatch. For example, state whether the base button is right but a modified label is stale.
Contact support with that description. Exclude pairing QR codes, tokens and private file paths. For camera or movement direction problems, use the axis and camera guide; label sync is not the control for game camera behavior.

These are documented diagnostic steps, not proof of a reproduced fix for every build. Status options depend on the installed receiver and phone. Verify actions in WoW before relying on labels.
